San Diego LAFCO has adopted policies to implement the Cortese-Knox-Hertzberg Local Government Reorganization Act of 2000 consistent with State legislative findings and declarations regarding orderly growth and development.

The policies assist the Commission in making balanced decisions while providing government officials and the public with an enhanced understanding of the factors considered in LAFCO deliberations.
